about

This is the last song the four-piece version of the band recorded, and the line-up broke up in a flurry of ugly shouting right after the recording button was stopped this night. Can you tell.....? I almost didn't include this song, because--to my ear--the acrimony influenced the playing. I don't know....maybe it's fine, and it's just that hearing the song takes me back to having toxic bullshit yelled in my face. I haven't seen the rhythm section since that night.

Another old classic honky tonk drinking song, this one made famous by Webb Pierce......he of the high sparkly country fashion sense (with matching cars).
