The title track is Ehresman's haunting take on the Greek myth of Cassandra, Helen of Troy's beautiful sister. In the myth, Apollo fancies Cassandra but she rebuffs him, and so he curses her with being able to see the future with complete accuracy, but with no one ever believing her. It eventually drives her to madness.

Ehresman recalls: "I had been reading a political article online one evening that made a reference to the Cassandra myth.....I had forgotten that one, and so had to look it up......That night, I dreamed the song, and was able to write it down in the morning and record it that day before I forgot how the music went........This is only my second serious attempt to write something in an open guitar tuning (in this case, F# minor)."

A very atmosphereic track, this one takes its time to unfold, and the long slow fade-out is hypnotic. This is a good example of Ehresman stepping up his game in terms of vocal arrangements. And the Ebow guitar makes its first appearance on the album. The sum total is beautiful and arresting.
